Prior to attending Law School, Monica worked as an HR Consultant in Puerto Rico where she prepared affirmative action plans and assisted clients before the Office of Federal Contract Compliance of the US Department of Labor. While attending Law School, she worked as a Paralegal and Law Clerk at the Law Offices of McConnell Valdes in Puerto Rico in the labor and employment department. After she obtained her J.D., Monica moved with her husband, Rolando, to Miami, Florida. She is experienced in the areas of insurance coverage and labor and employment. Monica and Rolando have four children and she likes to spend her free time with her family attending their children’s dance and sporting events as well as spending quality time with the family. She is actively involved in their parish community as well as in her children’s school.
